I have been a family mediator since 2009 practicing with Legal Aid and private clients in East Grinstead, Redhill and Croydon. I am accredited and registered with the Family Mediation Council and a member of the College of Mediators.

 

I work in all three forms of family mediation: All Issues (Property, Finance & Child Arrangements), Child Only, and Property & Finance. I am also qualified to meet with children in mediation.

 

My practice also includes mediating parties in dispute over Will and inheritance issues. 

 

Before being a family mediator, I was a qualified social worker for 15 years working with children & families, in mental health and with the elderly. I have worked with families/extended families around change, trauma, conflict, bereavement and loss.

 

I became a family and inheritance mediator so I can help families minimise conflict and reduce stress and division due to divorce/separation, or inheritance issues. Thus aiding families to avoid the trauma and costs of court.

 

Despite the potential for conflict, it is rewarding when all parties reach a successful outcome. I achieve this by allowing everyone to have their say and create workable solutions together. This can be regarding property, finance and child issues; or disputes over a Will or inheritance.

 

I provide this service because the alternative to mediation would involve going through the whole process with solicitors and potentially ending up in court. Mediation ensures that families can save money and time while aiding communication between them.

 

If mediation does not go ahead, I am authorised to sign the MIAM section of the family court application forms which must be signed before going to court.

I am registered with the Family Mediation Council for the voucher scheme introduced by the government to provide up to £500 per family towards the costs of child only mediation.

 

I am fully insured, and DBS checked.
